Respectful Ways Curriculum Writer:

A primary teacher for over 27 years, Bruce discovered a passion in writing beyond the classroom setting.  Bruce followed his dream and created, Just Simply Write, a company that developed writing tools to aid in classroom instruction.  This led to his first published creation, Writing Organizer Fold-Outs, for Creative Teaching Press.  This publication provided Bruce opportunities to facilitate training workshops at the International Reading Association Conference in San Antonio, 2013 and New Orleans, 2014. His workshop, KAPOW! Kids as Productive Organized Writers, introduced the fold-outs and the process of classroom implementation.  

In addition, Bruce’s writing has been shared in the Writing Tip of the Month for Home EDucators Resource Directory as well as in the development of primary writing lessons for Education.com.

Presently, Bruce is a PreK-5 Curriculum Writer for Respectful Ways. Using original poetry and songs, Bruce applies his Early Childhood knowledge and expertise to write content teaching social skills and emotional intelligence. Furthermore, a firm believer of Respectful Ways, Bruce plans to conduct SEL workshops for Respectful Ways Social Emotional Learning Curriculum in the future.
