Respectful Ways Year 2 modules New Year 2 Modules address Bullying Prevention, Mental Health, and Personal Safety

Respectful Ways is thrilled to announce the launch of brand-new modules for our trauma-informed life-skills curriculum. All courses for Grades PreK-2 and Grades 3-5 now offer "Year Two" content, building off the work students did in Year 1.

Districts and schools can now extend their programs over multiple years, with 185 fresh, new classroom activities addressing the 4 key pillars of Respect, Perseverance, Compassion, and Responsibility. These creative, evidence-based tools help students learn to navigate the challenges they face in today’s world.

Year 2: Expanding Our Impact

Year 2 targets some of the critical issues facing students and educators today:

    • Bullying Prevention: Tools to support respectful communication, resolve conflicts, and support healthy relationships.
    • Mental Health: Tools to develop emotional skills to cope with stress, anxiety and much more.
    • Personal Safety: Education on how to protect students’ well-being, set boundaries, and advocate for themselves.
    • Emotional Regulation: Guidance in recognizing and managing their emotions effectively while building resilience to face challenges.
    • MTSS: Customized academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support to meet the needs of all students - and targeted courses for Tier 2 & Tier 3 interventions.

A Few Year 2 Highlights:

  • Be Strong, Take It On module: The Mistakes Are How We Learn lesson encourages students to embrace mistakes as learning opportunities, reinforcing the importance of resilience and accountability. Watch the activity here!
  • Respectful Language Please module:  The Frustration Balloons activity gives students real-life strategies to help manage their feelings and reactions. This activity comes with a free printable poster to hang in classrooms (or on the refrigerator at home!) to reinforce great go-to activities kids can use to keep their emotions in control.

These new additions are designed with the notion that today’s students face unique challenges that require present-day, trauma-informed solutions.

Flexible and Adaptable

Classroom teachers, school counselors and administrators–these modules are for you! Schools can integrate full courses or individual activities into their existing lessons and programs however they see fit.
